This year, wizards and witches return to Balatongyörök. A magical start awaits those who will begin the first week of 2024 Funside Balaton camp season with us: the theme of the first week is the Wizarding School.
We hope you can unpack quickly, because on Monday you can find yourself at the Triwizard Tournament, where each house will compete for the Goblet of Fire, and then you will continue the battle as a team at the Beat that! game night.
On Tuesday afternoon you can warm up for the Quidditch Qualifiers where, if you do well, you’ll be on your way to the finals on Thursday night. On the Night Adventure we will also visit the Forbidden Forest together…for your information, it’s good if you know some protective and helpful spells (like Lumos or Expecto Patronum).
If everyone has made it out of the forest successfully, the next day you can relax by splashing into Lake Balaton from the Wibit course at the Vonyarcvashegy beach, and in the evening, we hope the mirror of Erised will reveal to you all that you’ve been looking for at the Codenames Night.
Of course, the week can’t be complete without a Harry Potter Day, where every corner of the camp will be filled with the magic of J.K. Rowling. Friday is all about competing, working together, and helping each other: at The Chase, houses can really come together, and you can even change the score in the battle for the House Cup! And for a great finale to the week, a Closing party will be waiting for our fellow wizards!
It’s not just these activities that will earn you valuable points during the week, diligence counts for a lot at Hogwarts, so if you would like to win the House competition, you should follow the latest news from the “Daily Prophet”.
For our part, a lot of questions have already been asked: will the Hufflepuff house defend its victory in 2024? Will Dumbledore return to us from his long journey?
