Funside Balaton updates:
1. Last night the government has issued a decree allowing overnight camps to go ahead. There are still some unanswered questions, but we are currently investigating the details.
2. Over the last 2 days we conducted a mini-survey among our Balaton campers, and the results show that the overwhelming majority would like to attend overnight camps this summer. We’ll be sharing more details with you shortly.
3. The next few weeks will be critical, as we have to finalize about a thousand bookings of varying status. This is quite an administrative challenge that can only be accomplished in a well-managed way, so that everyone can get a final answer in the shortest amount of time. In order to do this, we would like to ask for your kind patience and understanding during this period. Currently we cannot provide any more information via email, phone or Messenger, but over the next one week ALL BALATON CAMPERS will receive a message from us with the next steps. In the meantime, any major updates will be shared on Facebook, so please watch this space.
Travelling from abroad
If you would like to attend the camp this year, but you are currently uncertain about future travel restrictions from your country, you can still confirm your participation now and wait to see if those restrictions change in the coming weeks. As new announcements on the easing of travel and quarantine restrictions are announced almost every day, we strongly believe that travel to the camp will be possible by July. In case you cannot participate in the camp this year, due to travel restrictions or any other reason, you can now cancel your booking any time between now and up to 2 weeks before your chosen week. Now that the camp is going ahead, our regular Terms and Conditions apply again, meaning that even the “non-refundable deposit” is refunded now in case of cancellation. (According to our regular cancellation policy, you can cancel up to 2 weeks prior to your week and get a full refund, with only a 5% service fee deducted to cover handling and transfer fees.
