Teaching Hungarian as a second language has always been an important part of Funside offers, as many family with Hungarian roots, children with Hungarian ancestors and also expatriates in Hungary have regularly reached out to us because of our Hungarian programs. From 2018, Hungarian as a second language is also available at Funside School where “supermini” groups of 3-4 kids – divided by age and level – are learning Hungarian playfully from the very start.
In our Hungarian courses everything can be found that typifies Funside: self-developed and experience-based curriculum, exceptional language teachers, friendly and modern circumstances, and cultural elements beside the language itself. We also know, how important it is to let the parents get an insight of the development of their kids, which is available with our gamified point system, with the groups’ own blogs and also with the project presentations at the end of every topic. Thanks to our flexible system of class substitution children can easily make up 4 lessons in a semester. Feel free to arrange a personal consultation or to apply to our free placement test.
Starter (mediatory language: English)
In the case of starter Hungarian courses kids can choose out of two types basically: with or without mediatory language. Our course with the helpful usage of English language is recommended to those kids, who never learned Hungarian, but can speak well in English (including native English speakers) as it can help a lot at the beginning.
Starter (without mediatory language)
We recommend this course to those, who neither speak in English or Hungarian. It’s also possible to learn in Hungarian this way, but the groups without mediatory language are improving at other speeds, than the ones with it.
Level A1 and above
Above level starter every of our groups are working only in Hungarian and without a mediatory language. This way – independently from the kids’ native language – you only have to choose the level and time that is the best for you.
Ongoing 2019/20 fall semester courses to join into.
